ChemTig™ Dye Penetrant Test Kit
ChemTig™ Dye Penetrant Test Kit is a non-destructive fault-finding system used to detect microscopic cracks and flaws on the surface of metals, plastics, and ceramics, revealing them as red marks on a white background.
Fault and crack detection for weld seam quality assurance is a simple 5-step procedure which uses the following 3 materials supplied in this kit:
Prep-Solv Metal Cleaner/Degreaser, 240g (P/N: CT-ASC-240)
A blend of fast drying aliphatic solvents formulated to effectively penetrate and dissolve oils, greases, and other soils. Fast drying and leaves no surface residue.
Red Dye Penetrant, 300g (CT-DPI-300)
A high quality inspection liquid, red in colour, that seeps into micro cracks, locating surface-breaking defects in all non-porous materials, including plastics, ceramics and most metals.
Detecting Developer, 300g (CT-DVP-300)
Consisting of a white powder suspended in solvents, this developer reveals microscopic cracks and flaws by pulling the entrapped penetrant to the surface by capillary action.
